Looking for ...
One day, in the woods behind his house, Sander Schattefor finds a package containing a diary, a Polish Bible, and passport photos. A woman with dark brown eyes looks at him sternly. Who is she, and what has happened to her? Together with podcast creator Naomi Steijger, Sander sets out to find her. The search leads them to some migrant workers who have lost their jobs and, therefore, their homes.
Waar is Sarah? is a story about former TV maker Rob Timmerman. He spends six months a year sailing the Mediterranean Sea on a rescue ship, with which he has already saved countless people from drowning. But one person still haunts him: newborn baby Sarah, whom he plucked from a dinghy in 2016. Rob wants to know what became of her, and together with Laura Stek, he sets out to find the little girl.
Two of the strongest Dutch podcasts of the past year have some striking similarities, so we bring their creators together for a Q&A. Even better: Laura Stek and Naomi Steijger will be ‘interrogated’ by two upcoming Belgian talents: Pauline Augustyn (Une utopie, un mensonge) and Max-Lena Vanden Eynde (Voltooid leven).
This Q&A is in Dutch. With the support of the Dutch Embassy.
