Koken met Classics (with Porcelain id)
Last year, Koken met Classics was nominated for an Oorkonde in the Culture category. This year, the popular Radio 1 podcast closes the festival with an exclusive tryout of the live show Het Grote Classic Stories Muziekjaaroverzicht.
For those who have lived under a - pun intended - rock in recent years: in Koken met Classics, radio host Korneel De Clercq and musician Senne Guns (Admiral Freebee, Zimmerman) stir in the pots of timeless pop, rock, and sometimes even jazz tunes. What makes that sauce thicken in Fleetwood Mac’s Dreams? What kitchen robot did Giorgio Moroder and Donna Summer use for I Feel Love? And did The Beach Boys really season God Only Knows with Beethoven?
At the end of this year, Korneel De Clercq, Senne Guns, and Laurens Billiet (Lokko) will tour with Het Grote Classic Stories Muziekjaaroverzicht, a delightfully deranged look back at 2024 with live music, Soulwax-worthy remixes and surprising backstage revelations. They also drag a musician onto the stage for a chat and a song each time. But in our case, they turn it into a mini-concert. Who? Porcelain id, one of the surprising highlights of the festival summer!
