Mind you, the GoPlay podcast also regularly provides fodder for the showbiz columns around the country. “But that’s just the carrot with which presenters Pieterjan Marchand and Jeff Bronder lure listeners. While the opening credits are reminiscent of Het leugenpaleis, the two hosts seem to have mastered the Dutch tradition of the cabaret duo. They are even so well attuned to each other that they sometimes threaten to undercut their guests. But even that produces captivating audio, as when Average Rob can only chuckle like a teenager at so much quick wit.”
