Note: the third edition of the most prominent Belgian podcast festival will take place this year on November 8 and 9. In Ostend, of course. And for the first time, podcast listeners can send in a wish list!

Third time's a charm? After two sold-out editions in April 2022 and November 2023, DS Podcastfestival is again heading to Ostend. The much-appreciated 'feast for your ears' of De Standaard and Visit Ostend will dock on Friday, November 8, and Saturday, November 9.

The past two years, the festival attracted (inter)national podcast makers such as George the Poet & Benbrick (Have You Heard George's Podcast), Brian Reed (S-Town), Jon Ronson (Things Fell Apart), Clare Toeniskoetter (The Daily), Connor Ratliff (Dead Eyes), and Sarah Platt (The Journal).

The third edition of DS Podcast Festival in November will once again be brimming with live recordings, masterclasses, panel discussions, workshops, and listening sessions of the most talked-about podcasts from Belgium and abroad. However, because the podcast universe is now so vast and diverse - there are almost five million podcasts on a wide range of topics worldwide - this year, for the first time, avid listeners can also let us know which podcasts and audio creators they absolutely want to be included.

Also, the Oorkondes, the Flemish podcast awards, return to Ostend in November - on Friday, November 8, to be exact. Last year, the Oorkondes went to De kunst van het verdwijnen (Story), Na de storm (News), Welcome to the AA (Talk), Viva Lanoye (Culture), Voltooid leven (Inzicht), MIDMID (Publieksprijs) and AudioCollectief SCHIK (Career). This year's nominees, as well as the names of the judges, will be announced in October.
